Are we all guilty of contributing to modern world trends? In today’s society, there is no shortage of body image preferences and trends. With the boom in social media, the pressure to look perfect is at an all-time high with us all feeling the heat to abide or be left behind? It feels like new fads and body ideals come and go faster than we can keep up with them. As much as there is a procedure, big or small, that promises to fix every perceived flaw with the aim of achieving perfection. For the long lasting true sense of purpose and fulfilment, it’s vital to remember that real happiness and acceptance come from within. You know that inner glow that radiates on the outside. We are all born with divine light within us. It’s our universal duty to embrace it. By focusing on healthy thoughts and actions that reflect self care, the rest will naturally flow and align to the healing higher power..

Many people who go through cosmetic and alike procedures do so to boost self-esteem and improve overall well-being. Given the risks to beauty enhancements from fillers, liposuction to breast implants , many artificial materials utilised during cosmetic procedures can be toxic and most often lead to long-term health effects. Is a little ok or when is it enough is what we must ask ourselves. Are we all part to blame of this new modern society we placed amongst us.

Its easy to get led into the trends, although timely to shed light on the importance of what sets one apart, given we are all unique beings. Highlighting the importance to turn inward rather than rely on the external factors to achieve true happiness. From spiritual teachings to Buddhism its Inner peace and stillness that bring long term satisfaction. As Eckhart Tolle said, “It’s all within – nothing external can give long-term happiness.”

By implementing holistic wellness and ayurvedic therapy tips and practices are proven to help to calm and rejuvenate the nervous system. In seeking these natural treatments, one can focus on the divine principles of wisdom, compassion, and spiritual awakening. By embracing Ayurveda, an age-old practice rooted in ancient wisdom, our well-being increases, and we harness the power within ourselves to feel complete, ourselves and at total peace of what we are.

Jay Shetty once said, “The success of our outer world is a reflection of our inner world.” So how can we harness the power within ourselves to achieve inner peace and the success we crave? Here are three tips on tapping into happiness from within:

1. Practice mindfulness and meditation: Regular mindfulness and meditation practices promote inner peace and calm. A calm mind creates a calm body, leading to more resilient and healthy long-term happiness.

2. Cultivate compassion for yourself: Self-esteem starts from within. Often, in seeking external treatments to feel better, we forget to show ourselves with acceptance, kindness and compassion. Appreciate your unique qualities, recognise and work on any shortcoming improvements and take it as a work in progress and overall learning and development of our true selves. As we grow from inner self-confidence, the body’s external appearance will be less important whilst also glowing out from within.

3. Embrace healthy habits: Ayurveda has been around for over 3,000 years, providing specific healthy habits to enhance physical and mental well-being, such as proper nourishment, exercise, and sleep. Following the right lifestyle to boost health will lead to increased happiness and overall well-being. Make the time and make it a self-care ritual and priority first and foremost. When you board the plane and need to reach for oxygen – you look after yourself first to then look out for others.

4. Accept what is: Moving through the setting of boundaries. Removing expectations and knowing that what we tolerate is what we allow. Reflecting on our own actions and kind reactions to things without the judgements we place through our own fears of experiences. Taking that moment to pause whilst almost focusing on our own learnings through all the moments that test us to teach us.

As a famous Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh once said, “Peace in oneself, peace in the world.” Choosing to be advanced in self-care offerings and internal beauty practices lead directly to a feeling of contentment, peace, and growth.

So next time you want to look for the quick fix or easy solution, stop for a moment and look inside of your soul. Embrace the beauty of the present moment, show yourself self-compassion and seek natural ways to enhance the well-being of the mind, body, and spirit. No one said it would be easy but definitely worth it. Believe in yourself and the goodness of your heart. Turn within ad respect your own soul journey. You’ve got this.
